Our Mission
Our mission is to serve God and spread His gospel throughout the city of Davis and beyond. To partner with the community around us and share God's love through those relationships. We strive to impact the community within the City of Davis by engaging in conversations, building relationships, and sharing our beliefs through the Five Points of Davis.

It is our mission to partner with one another, helping each other develop Christ like character, grow stronger in faith, and to live life in love and forgiveness. To impact lives in a positive way and to have those lives impact other communities as we spread God's heart to the world.
We believe that following Christ is a process that can be summarized as: Come and See, Come and Do, Come and Die.

Come and See: (Matt. 4:18-25; 1Cor. 1:10-17)
For a person to come to know, love, and follow Jesus, one must first 'come and see' by experiencing God. Whether this experience comes in a dream, a vision, a near-death experience, or the kindness of a stranger or friend, this initial encounter can change your life forever! We at Renaissance Community Church want to be there and share this exciting time with you; to help you understand what it means, and to help you with the challenges and struggles that come with next two steps, doing and dying.
Come and Do: (Matt. 12:33-37)
You are my disciple if...Jesus is clear in John 8:31 and 13:35 that there are things that we must do to be called His disciples. Believe it or not, it's not what music you listen to, or how you vote that makes you a disciple of Christ. We are His disciples when we love one another, stay in His word, and know and follow His teachings. As we 'come and do' together we can grow stronger in faith through spiritual foundations and disciplines, committing to God though loving service to one another. By showing love and caring for God's people, we show love and care to God.
Come and Die: (Luke 9:23)
As we continue to give, love, and serve one another a natural progression occurs. We Die. We die to ourselves as we value the needs of our brothers and sisters as greater than our own. As we do this, we come to understand that our life does not belong to us at all and that together God's children can do great things. As we continue to 'come and die' to our own will and plans, we will find God calling us to fix things we didn't break, find things we didn't lose, and go places we don't want to go. And as we do these things we give glory and honor to God and even make Him smile.
